Kevin Ware will sit out the remainder of Louisville’s season
Louisville men’s basketball Coach Rick Pitino said Monday that junior guard Kevin Ware, who broke his left during the NCAA Tournament in March and made a stirring comeback this season, will be out for the remainder of the year because of his leg.
“The trainer doesn’t feel he can get back to the level that he was at this season,” Pitino said. “I think he will get back to where he was. It was a bad break, but it’s not a Kobe situation with the Achilles or an ACL. It’s just a bad break that needs time.”
Ware has played just 53 minutes in nine games this season.
