Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, Randy Moss: Who will have best year?

Share

Terrell Owens, Randy Moss and Chad Johnson are all back in the NFL.

Time to party like it’s 2003! Or 2007! But definitely not 2011, when none of the three controversial and one-time elite wide receivers were even in the league.

Wait, Johnson played last season? In the Super Bowl? Really? OK, if you say so.

Anyway, Owens signed with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday after a year out of the league. Moss was claimed by the San Francisco 49ers earlier in the off-season. And Johnson -- who legally changed his last name back from Ochocinco last month -- hopes to put last year’s dreadful season with the New England Patriots behind him with his new team, the Miami Dolphins.

Owens and Moss are tied for the second-most touchdown catches of all time (153). Owens, 38, also is second all-time in receiving yards (15,934). But he hasn’t caught for more than 1,000 yards since leaving Dallas in 2008 and was unable to find a job all of last season.

Moss, 35, is fifth all-time in receiving yards (14,858). But after a bizarre 2010 season, during which he played for three teams and did very little to help any of them, he chose to sit out last year for personal reasons.

Johnson, 34, caught for more than 1,100 yards in each of the 2002-2007 seasons but has not been the same on the field since legally changing his last name to Ochocinco. Coincidence? Maybe, but now that he’s got his old name back and a new address, so we’ll see if any of that makes a difference.

All three players were dominant forces at one time. Which one do you think will have the biggest impact for his new team? Please vote in the poll, then leave a comment explaining why you voted the way you did.
