Seahawks sign former USC receiver George Farmer to practice squad

Pete Carroll has a new undrafted free-agent project with the Seattle Seahawks: George Farmer.
The former USC receiver signed with the practice squad Tuesday, the team announced.
Farmer will play cornerback, a position change he made when the Seahawks signed him as a free agent in late August. He was waived a week later when the team had to trim its roster.
Carroll signed former USC safety Dion Bailey as an undrafted free agent after the 2014 draft. Bailey started for the Seahawks in Week 1 this season after he spent last season on the practice squad.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Farmer to a free-agent contract after the draft in May but released him during training camp.
Farmer, 6 feet 1 and 220 pounds, had a season of eligibility remaining at USC, but opted to declare for the NFL draft.
He caught 25 passes, four for touchdowns, during the 2014 season and finished his USC career with 30 receptions and four touchdowns.
