It's beginning to look a lot like ski season at California resorts.

Los Angeles doesn’t get much -- or any -- snow but that doesn’t stop it from holding a colossal ski and snowboard show each year. This year’s Ski Dazzle, Dec. 4-7 at the L.A. Convention Center, will feature more than 250 booths, with 50 local and national resorts represented.

And this annual perk is back: Attendees will receive a bonus free lift ticket from one of six different resorts – Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, Mountain High, Mt. Baldy, Snow Valley or Brian Head, Utah. Not a bad deal for the $20 admission.

Expo admission also includes free events such as lessons on a 60-foot ramp; a new snowboard learning center for kids 2- to 8-years-old; and a two-story pre-season fitness climbing wall.

Holiday bargains on ski and snowboard brand name gear will also be offered. Reps from K2, Burton, Columbia, Descente, Spyder, Ride, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon, LibTech and Techinca will be on hand.

Tickets are available in advance online or during the show: $20 for adults, $5 for children 6-12. Children 6 years and younger are free but they are not eligible for the bonus lift tickets.

Show times: Dec. 4 and 5 (4 p.m. to 11 p.m.), Dec. 6 (11 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and Dec. 7 (noon to 6 p.m.).
