Daily Deal: Third night free at the Omni in Carlsbad

The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad recently completed a $50-million renovation that features a new adults-only pool, a new sports lounge and the addition of beehives that produce honey used in menu and spa items. Those who want to experience what’s new can save with a third-night-free offer.
The deal: The deal requires two paid nights at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa to receive a third night free. This resort isn’t cheap, but the free night takes the edge off the price of a long weekend or midweek stay.
When: A reservation agent said the offer is available for a limited time, but no end date has been set. You can book now for stays through the end of the year.
Tested: I found availability for a room over Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30-Sept. 2) for $379 a night (which drops to $253 a night with the free night) plus a $26 daily resort fee and tax. I also found a cheaper midweek room (Aug. 4-7) for $309 a night (which drops to $206 a night with the free night) plus the resort fee and tax.
