Each year the U.S. Travel Assn. hosts a month of deals called Daily Getaways that showcase discounts on hotel stays, entertainment, amusement parks and other travel-related services. The getaway for Wednesday (today) features the San Francisco CityPass for $84 that comes with a seven-day transportation pass, a cruise on the bay and admission to three museums.

The deal: I found it available at the Daily Getaways website and at the CityPass site too. It costs $84 per person for:

— A transportation pass good on Muni trolleys, buses and cable cars. (Individual rides cost $2 to $6 each.)

— Admission to the California Academy of Sciences, which usually costs $34.95 for adults.

— A one-hour Blue & Gold Fleet trip out to Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz Island (usually $28 per adult), or a ride on the fast RocketBoat (usually $38 per adult).

— Admission to the Aquarium of the Bay ($18 for adults) in San Francisco or the Monterey Bay Aquarium ($34.95 for adults).

— Admission to the Exploratorium ($25 per adult) or the De Young Museum ($11 per adult).

When: The Daily Getaway for the San Francisco CityPass goes on sale at 10 a.m. PDT and continues until 100 passes have been sold.

Details: How much you save depends on what options you choose to use with this pass. And here’s an extra savings tip: Those who pay with an American Express card receive an extra 10% off.

When you’re on the Daily Getaways site, look for upcoming offers too, such as Thursday’s deal of $330 (usually $600) for two people for two nights as a Harrah’s Las Vegas VIP with a mini-suite, buffet passes, fitness center access and limo service to and from the airport.
