Remember when Mr. T and “The A-Team” debuted on TV, and Sally Ride took a spin on the Challenger? That was 1983, and it also was the year Efrem Harkham opened a hotel called Luxe Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

In honor of the milestone, the hotel brand is putting a limited number of rooms at three area Luxe Hotels on sale for $130 a night — the price of a room three decades ago.

The deal: The sale applies to Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills and Luxe City Center Hotel in downtown L.A. The price is good for one 24-hour period and limits stays to two days over Memorial Day weekend. Use the code “30Anniversary” when making a reservation.

When: The offer is good for reservations made between 8 a.m. May 13 and 8 a.m. May 14, based on availability. Good for stays May 26 and 27 only.

Details: Prices at these hotels usually start at $300 to $350 a night, a spokeswoman says. The savings are big if the Sunday and/or Monday night stay over Memorial Day works for you as a close-to-home getaway.
