It’s the time of year when big bands reunite for a summer tour, and the latest brings ’70s acts Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire back on stage in Las Vegas this July.

The Heart and Soul Tour includes 25-plus dates across the country starting July 15 in Concord, Calif., with a stop at the 7,000-seat Axis Theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort on July 17.

“One of the most exciting things about the show is when both bands perform at the end of the concert,” Lee Loughnane of Chicago says in a press statement. “Having these 21 very talented musicians playing our greatest hits together puts the excitement level at a fever pitch. From the Heart of Chicago and the Soul of Earth, Wind & Fire, it is an unforgettable experience.”

Funk fusion powerhouse Earth, Wind & Fire is probably best known for hits such as “September,” “Let’s Groove,” and “Shining Star.” Soft rockers Chicago have hits including “Hard to Say I’m Sorry/Get Away,” “Love Me Tomorrow” and “Hard Habit to Break.”
