Mike Hiserman’s rim shots:

--There are nine conference players of the year in this regional field: Along with Draymond Green of Michigan State, Jae Crowder of Marquette and De’Mon Brooks of Davidson, there are Julian Boyd of Long Island University-Brooklyn (Northeast), Will Barton of Memphis (Conference USA), Casper Ware of Long Beach State (Big West), Isaiah Canaan of Murray State (Ohio Valley), Scott Machado of Iona (Metro Atlantic) and Kyle O’Quinn of Norfolk State (Mid-Eastern Athletic).

--Missouri has played in 24 previous NCAA tournaments without reaching a Final Four. That’s the second-most ever — behind Brigham Young’s 26.

--Mike Glover, Iona’s leading scorer (18.5) and rebounder (9.0) is a 6-7 senior forward who has played for three high schools and four colleges in five states.

--Florida leads the nation in three-point baskets, lead by guard Kenny Boynton, who is shooting 42.7% behind the arc.
