SPARKS TONIGHT
at Charlotte, 4 PDT
Site -- Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Radio -- 1150 (delayed, 8 p.m.).
Records -- Sparks 0-1, Sting 0-1.
Record vs. Sting (2005) -- 1-1.
Update -- Newcomer Temeka Johnson had 11 assists in her debut but hopes Sparks watchers don’t immediately compare her to Nikki Teasley, the guard for whom she was traded. “I’ll let my game speak for itself,” she said. Both teams want to bounce back from opening losses. The Sparks were drubbed in Seattle on Sunday, 90-67, and the Sting lost to expansion Chicago on Saturday, 83-82. The Sparks haven’t won in Charlotte since the first game of the 2002 WNBA Finals.
