In a town hall-style meeting with Galaxy season ticket holders before Saturday’s game, Anschutz Entertainment Group President Tim Leiweke announced that MLS would expand by two teams in 2005 and that Chivas USA and Cleveland would make it a 12-team league.

Chivas, which has made noise about playing in Los Angeles, is in negotiations with San Diego as its home.

Leiweke also said that MLS hoped to add two more teams in either 2006 or 2007 and that AEG, which currently owns five teams, hopes to sell off three to get down to two.
