Drive a Mustang for free with this West Hollywood hotel deal

Are free cars the new coffeemaker? I’ve written about hotel offers that come with these “amenities”: a free rental of a Tesla roadster or a new BMW. Now the London West Hollywood woos guests with a convertible Mustang to use during a stay at the hotel -- for free.

The deal: This package has a provocative name: Topless in L.A., which of course refers to the convertible not whatever else you were thinking. The offer comes with use of a Mustang convertible for up to 150 miles a day for each day of the stay, overnight parking (that’s for your car, not the rental) and free breakfast at the Boxwood Cafe Breakfast Table. Note drivers must be 25 or older to get this deal, and the rental doesn’t include insurance (so bring your own or buy some).

When: The deal runs Sept. 1-Oct. 31.

Tested: I found availability Sept. 30-Oct. 1 for a 750-square-foot suite for an average $307 plus tax a night (rates are different for each night). The same suite on the same nights usually goes for an average $324 a night; so you get the car and the breakfast as a premium.
