Jonathan Dolgen will take a top job at 20th Century Fox.

Dolgen, 39, had announced his resignation last month as president of domestic operations and pay-cable home entertainment for Columbia Pictures Industries Inc. Los Angeles-based Fox said Dolgen has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, effective Jan. 7. Fox said Dolgen will be responsible for telecommunications, the studio division, music operations and the legal department.
