UCI Tennis Teams Still Undefeated After Beating Northridge, Westmont

UC Irvine beat Cal State Northridge, 7-2, in a nonconference women’s tennis match at Irvine Thursday. In No. 1 singles play, the Anteaters’ Stephanie Rhorer defeated Marla Reid, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 and in No. 2 singles, Lola Trenwith downed Missy Conn, 6-2, 6-3. The Anteaters went on to sweep all three doubles matches as well.

Irvine (5-0) plays host to 10th-ranked Pepperdine today at 1:30 p.m.

The Anteater men’s tennis team blanked Westmont College in a nonconference match at Irvine, 9-0. UCI got singles wins from Brad Ackerman, Neil Amor, Julian Barham, Darren Yates, Art Hernandez and James Myers, all won their matches.

Irvine (3-0) hosts Cal State Northridge today at 1:30 p.m.
