It has been a very big week for the Bonita Vista Barons.

Wednesday night they ended Sweetwater’s long-running Metro Mesa league win streak at 50 with a thrilling 93-85 double-overtime win at Sweetwater.

Friday night again saw Bonita Vista in overtime in front of a hostile crowd at Montgomery High, and again it won, 60-58.

“The crowd there was going crazy,” Bonita Vista coach Brian Russo said. “They must have had at least 250 people screaming and yelling.”
