DENVER — The Denver Gold’s general manager, concerned over drunken football fans taking to the streets after a game, has won a campaign to have beer sales curtailed in the fourth quarter today.
Rich Nathan said he became concerned about the club’s liability in the case of a drunk “The last beer served at the football game will be the one for the road,” he said.
The Gold is playing its home opener today against the Portland Breakers.
Under the plan, at the end of the third quarter beer hawkers will be pulled from the stands.
