Cal State Dominguez Hills forward Adrienne Harris has been named to the Kodak All-District women’s basketball team, which is selected by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Assn. Harris, a 6-foot senior out of Fairfax High, averaged 15.8 points and 10.5 rebounds and is second in school career scoring (1,062) and rebounding (627). The all-district team, one of nine, covers West Coast states plus Alaska, Hawaii and Nevada. Others on the team are Leone Patterson of Chapman, Vicki Mitchell of Cal Poly Pomona, Janine Phillips of Pomona, Debbie Clare of Alaska-Anchorage and Heidi Carroll of Sacramento State.

Darryl May, point guard and one of the catalysts for the Serra High basketball team that tied for the Camino Real League title and reached CIF 5-A semifinals, said this week he would attend Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. Gonzaga is a member of the West Coast Athletic Conference.
