Cartoonists

It is difficult for any editorial cartoonist to improve on the biting commentary of Paul Conrad in The Times, and I would be the first to sing his praises, but this note is intended to compliment you on the excellent selection of cartoons on the Editorial Pages to complement Conrad’s work.

MacNelly, Auth, Lurie and the others are superb counterbalances (not “counter,” necessarily, in viewpoint, but in style and manner).

But I would like to mention, especially, how much my wife and I enjoy the gentle humor of Stayskal’s cartoon commentary. He has a way of spoofing the news of the day with dexterity and wit without ever letting the venom show through. Thanks for keeping us abreast of his work.
