Tonight’s NIT championship game, originally scheduled to be shown tape-delayed at 10 on Channel 9, will instead be carried live at 6 because UCLA is involved.
Chuck Velona, Channel 9’s general manager, received permission Thursday from owner Jerry Buss of the Kings to delay the Kings’ 6:30 game at Calgary until 9 p.m. Channel 9’s “News at 9” will be on at 8 p.m.
Tonight’s NIT telecast, syndicated by the Mizlou network, is also scheduled to be shown live on the USA network and New York superstation WOR.
