Harbor Ends Pierce’s 97-Match Win Streak
Harbor College ended Pierce College’s 97-match Metro Conference tennis winning streak with a 5-1 victory Monday at Pierce.
The defeat, the first for Pierce in nine years, left the teams tied for the Metro championship with the Southern California playoffs beginning today. Pierce, which won the community college division of the Ojai Tournament over the weekend, beat Harbor earlier in the season, 5-4.
