Castaic Man Shoots Wife, Kills Himself
A Castaic man shot and wounded his wife, then killed himself Friday, according to a Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
At about 12:55 p.m., Billy Pike shot Vicki Pike in the shoulder, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Steve Lee. The woman then ran from the couple’s trailer to a house on the same property on Castaic Road and called the Sheriff’s Department, Lee said.
When deputies arrived, they found Vicki Pike in the bedroom of the house and Billy Pike dead on the front porch, Lee said. Authorities said Pike had shot himself in the head.
Vicki Pike was admitted to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, where word of her condition was unavailable.
