BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Cliff Stoudt passed for two second-half touchdowns to rally a sluggish Birmingham team to a 14-0 victory over Portland Saturday night in a United States Football League game before 28,500.
It was the first shutout in Birmingham’s three-year history.
The victory snapped the Stallions’ two-game losing string and raised their record to 8-4 in the Eastern Conference. The Breakers, winless in seven road games, lost their fifth straight and fell to 3-9.
