Proudest Doon Wins at Hollywood Park
Heavily favored Proudest Doon led from start to finish and scored an easy victory Wednesday in the $30,000 feature race at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Laffit Pincay, Proudest Doon finished four lengths in front of First Norman, ridden by Bill Shoemaker. Infantryman, ridden by Rafael Meza, was third, another 2 1/2 lengths back.
Proudest Doon was clocked in 1:22 for seven furlongs and paid $3.40, $2.40 and $2.20; First Norman returned $3.40 and $3, and Infantryman paid $3.20 to show.
