Nakajima Wins a Race in All-Japan F-2 Series
Race car driver Satoru Nakajima, driving a March 85J Honda, won the 112-mile second leg of the five-race All-Japan F-2 series Sunday, 28 seconds ahead of fellow Japanese Masahiro Hasemi.
Nakajima pulled ahead of Brazil’s Roberto Moreno into second place on the first lap and then seized the lead from Britain’s Kenneth Acheson on the fifth lap.
He sped 30 laps around the 3.7-mile Suzuka Speedway track in 1 hour 1 minute 19.068 seconds, an average speed of 107.628 m.p.h., and Hasemi, driving a March 85J BMW, finished in 1:01:47.086.
Keiji Matsumoto, driving a March 85J BMW, came in third in 1:02:00.959, followed by Akira Hagiwara, driving a March 85J BMW, in 1:02:10.875.
