Three brush fires were controlled Monday by firefighters for the California Department of Forestry.
A one-acre blaze was extinguished on the Pala Indian Reservation, north of Escondido; a smaller fire was put out on the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation near Warner Springs, and a 20-acre fire was controlled on Old Otay Mesa, south of Brown Field near the Mexican border.
