Two soldiers armed with automatic weapons were seized by police after a two-mile auto chase in which dozens of rounds were fired, authorities said Wednesday. Two officers were wounded in the chase, which began when police interrupted a robbery at a convenience store.

Pfc. Ronald J. Martin, of Medford, Ore., and Pfc. Vernon J. Lowrey, of Dodge City, Kan., both 20, were charged with attempted capital murder of the police officers, possession of illegal weapons and aggravated robbery. Each was held on $90,000 bail.
