Fountain Valley High School pitcher Don Snowden has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Arizona, Wildcat Coach Jerry Kindall announced.

Snowden, a 6-foot 1-inch, 175-pound left-hander, was 7-3 with five saves and an earned-run average of 1.10 in 1985. He struck out 111 batters and also hit .326 with 4 home runs.

Snowden was the winning pitcher in the Barons’ 3-2 victory over Camarillo in the Southern Section 4-A division championship game in Anaheim Stadium.
