Greg Louganis, O. J. Simpson Inducted Into Club’s Hall of Fame
Olympic Gold Medal diver Greg Louganis and football-great-turned-announcer O. J. Simpson were inducted into the Balboa Bay Club Sports Hall of Fame at a club banquet Wednesday night.
Louganis and Simpson, in turn, roasted and toasted Don Chumley, winner of the Lowsman Trophy, given annually to the last man picked in the NFL draft as part of Irrelevant Week in Newport Beach. Chumley’s award, presented by Clark Graves of the University Athletic Club, makes the University of Georgia the first school in the nation to have both a Heisman and a Lowsman.
