Costa Mesa : County Fair Attendance Hits an All-Time High
Attendance at the Orange County Fair reached an all-time high on Thursday, as 30,657 people passed through the turnstiles, surpassing the previous one-day record of 23,604 set in 1984.
Spokeswoman Jean Crooke said the record number of visitors may have been drawn by special attractions at the fair, including two concerts by The Marshall Tucker Band, a country rock group.
“We think we have very good nighttime entertainment, and we have a new carnival that has been very well received,” she said.
