Orange County Players Key Water Polo Win

Orange County players helped their team to third- and fourth-round victories Tuesday in the National Junior Olympics 17-under water polo competition in Iowa City, Iowa.

Eric Blum, of Sunny Hills High School, scored two goals and Brad Kramer, also of Sunny Hills, added another as the Trojan Water Polo Club defeated a team from Stanford, 9-3, in third-round play. Another player from Sunny Hills--goalie Mike Day--had 15 saves.

In the fourth round, Blum had two more goals, Kramer had another and Zoltan Berty of Mater Dei also scored once as the Trojans beat Marin, of Northern California, 14-5. Day had 14 saves.

Competition in the round-robin tournament continues today.
