The City Council voted to seek proposals from a nonprofit child-care provider to establish a facility in a vacant fire station at Clover Park, 2801 25th St.
The provider would be required to sponsor the renovation of the fire station in return for a low-cost 10-year lease on the building. The ground floor would be used for child care for a maximum of 45 children.
