Repeated Stabbings Kill Val Verde Woman
A 35-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in the living room of her Val Verde house, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputy Lynda Edmonds said the body of Cheryl Denise McGee was discovered Monday after McGee’s neighbors noticed that the front door to her house was open. Deputies found that McGee had been stabbed repeatedly. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Edmonds said investigators know no motive and have no suspects.
Val Verde is an isolated rural community about 15 miles northwest of San Fernando.
