Handicap? : Hole in 1 for 1-Armed Man
A 70-year-old man with one arm and blurred vision says he was “a little excited” after pulling off golf’s most coveted accomplishment, a hole in one.
Frank Kaarto of Mass City used a five iron to ace the 140-yard, par-3 third hole at Wyandotte Hills Golf Course in Twin Lakes.
Kaarto has no left arm, only four fingers on his right hand and has blurred vision in his right eye. A golfer 23 years, he recorded his ace during a league playoff competition.
“That’s my first, so I’m a little excited, of course,” he said of Tuesday’s shot.
The retired insurance agent says he plans to keep playing golf “until I can’t swing the club anymore.”
