Major league baseball owners, meeting in St. Louis, gave final approval to the new five-year agreement with the players association that ended the one-day baseball strike earlier this month.
Baseball Commissioner Peter Ueberroth said the owners voted unanimously to ratify the agreement that was reached Aug. 7.
