Michael De La Torre has been selected for a fellowship with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, D.C. De La Torre, a resident of Whittier, is completing a master’s degree in public administration at Cal Poly Pomona. He is a 1970 graduate of Salesian High School in Los Angeles and received a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Los Angeles. He was one of four candidates selected for the fellowship, which offers a job with a congressional committee, a stipend and transportation to and from Washington.

William P. Dorsey and Carlton J. Snow have been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. Dorsey is president of Baugh Enterprises in Seattle. Snow is a law professor and the executive director of the Center for Dispute Resolution at Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon.

Charles J. Inacker has been named dean of the school of business and economics at California State University, Los Angeles. Inacker was previously acting chairman of the department of accounting and has been chairman of the department of business education and office administration since 1982.

Wally Bourgeois of Sierra Madre has been appointed principal of Arcadia Christian School. Bourgeois has served as principal, teacher and administrator for 22 years at Christian schools throughout California. Steve Blankenship, a Monrovia resident who has taught at the school for seven years, has been named vice principal.

Fred C. Anson of Caltech in Pasadena has been awarded the 1986 C. N. Reilly Award in electroanalytical chemistry. Anson, an Altadena resident, is chairman of Caltech’s division of chemistry and chemical engineering and a chemistry professor. The Reilly Award is given to researchers who make major contributions to the theory, instrumentation and applications of electroanalytical chemistry.

Robert Maez has been appointed principal of Mountain View High School in El Monte. Maez, formerly assistant principal at Arroyo High School, replaces Fernando Ledesma, who was named adult education principal in the El Monte Union High School Disrict.

Mary Ann McEachren-Spraic, an anthropologist, has been named director of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, a nonprofit organization serving senior citizens in the San Gabriel Valley.
