House Fire Quickly Brought Under Control
Within minutes of arriving at the scene, firefighters brought under control a fire in a house on Mirador Street in Yorba Linda, limiting damage to the $400,000 home to about $20,000, according to a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Department.
The cause of the blaze, reported at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, was under investigation, but fire officials believe it may have started with an explosion involving a vehicle in an attached garage, Fire Department spokesman Art York said.
Firefighter Tom Tingesdahl sprained an ankle fighting the blaze and was treated and released at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Anaheim.
