Heavy Issue: Spinks Was Over the Limit

I have always wondered why Larry Holmes never received the recognition an undefeated heavyweight champion should earn. After reading his bitter, defensive, post-fight comments in Sunday’s paper, I now sadly understand. It’s too bad that after 49 fights, no boxer was able to knock that big chip off his shoulder.
