Two San Fernando teen-agers were rescued Saturday night after they became stranded on a ledge in a deep ravine in the Pacoima Canyon area of Angeles National Forest.

Jeremy Adams and Brian Coger, both 15, were pulled from the ledge by members of the sheriff’s Montrose Search and Rescue Team after they had failed to return from an afternoon hike, Sgt. John Burtt of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station said Sunday. Neither youth was injured, Burtt said.

The boys left County Fire Camp No. 9 to hike to the Pacoima Reservoir about 3 p.m., a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said. When they did not return by 4:30 p.m., Lon Adams, Jeremy’s father, notified the Fire Department, which sent a helicopter to the scene. A spotter in the aircraft found the teen-agers on the ledge about a quarter of a mile from the fire camp, the sheriff’s spokesman said.
