Monroe’s Barry Thomas ran 40 yards with an intercepted pass to the Hollywood one-yard line and ran for a touchdown on the next play with 6:55 remaining in the first quarter . . . Thomas passed 32 yards to Ron Robinson for a touchdown on the final play of the first period . . . Monroe running back Sean Roberts took a pitchout and passed 52 yards to Kevin Mughan for a touchdown in the second quarter . . . Thomas passed 20 yards to Alex Neblett for a third-quarter score, and ran two yards for Monroe’s final touchdown . . . Raymond Lopez kicked all five Monroe PATs.

Barry Thomas (M) completed 3 of 5 passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed seven times for 33 yards and two more scores. Thomas also intercepted two passes from his safety spot. Defensive lineman Don Johnson (M) led a tough pass rush which forced five interceptions. Tom Summers (M) had an interception and a fumble recovery.
