It’s a Shame Dodgers’ Season Ended Because of One Lousy Decision
There is no one else to blame except Tom Lasorda, not only for his decision to pitch to Jack Clark, but also for allowing Guerrero to play the last week of the regular season while chasing Garvey’s (club) record for home runs instead of resting his wrist and leg.
Lasorda’s course of action in not letting Sax bunt in Game 5 was inexcusable.
I have been a Lasorda fan from the beginning, but the more time goes on the more I’m getting to believe he’s a better PR man than he is a manager.
