The operator of a medical clinic has been charged with practicing medicine without a license, a Los Angeles city attorney’s spokesman said. Ramiro Arevalo, 34, of Clinica Medica & Pico Inc., 2234 W. Pico Blvd., was arraigned in Los Angeles Municipal Court on the misdemeanor charges of practicing medicine without a license, representing himself as a doctor and misbranding a drug. Trial was set for Dec. 16. The charges came after an undercover investigation by the state Board of Medical Quality Assurance. Arevalo could not be reached for comment.
