Athletes in Action Beats Illinois

Athletes in Action outscored the University of Illinois, 14-1, in the first seven minutes of the second half Monday night and went on to beat the Fighting Illini, 68-60, in basketball action at Champaign, Ill.

Tracy Jackson led San Diego-based AIA (7-4) with 21 points. Keith Cieplicki came off the bench to add 14 points for AIA, while Lorenzo Romar had 10 points and 10 assists.

Ken Norman scored 16 points to pace Illinois.
