Jerry Moore, Texas Tech football coach, said that he has been fired, effective after Saturday’s Southwest Conference game against Houston.

“I’m confused and hurt but I’m not bitter because I’m not that way,” said Moore, who in five years never had a Tech team that finished higher than sixth in the SWC. “I’m not going to say anything bad about this school.”
