Two of Britain’s leading fighters, who staged a public brawl last month outside a downtown club, were given the heaviest fines ever imposed by boxing authorities in that country.
The British Boxing Board of Control fined middleweights Mark Kaylor 15,000 pounds ($18,500) and Errol Christie 5,000 pounds ($4,500) for bringing the sport into disrepute, and warned them about their future conduct.
The brawl occurred just before a news conference to publicize a final elimination bout for the British middleweight title.
