President Reagan has selected Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edmund Morris, who was with him at the Geneva summit, to write the authorized version of his biography, the writer said today.

Morris, 45, who won a Pulitzer Prize for the first of three volumes on President Theodore Roosevelt, began the current project--which could bring him more than $2 million--several weeks ago and accompanied Reagan to the Geneva summit at his own expense.

In an interview with United Press International, he said he will be given unlimited access and interviews, although specifics have yet to be worked out.

The Morris biography does not preclude Reagan’s writing his own memoirs, which will net him millions if the experience of past Presidents prevails.
