Johnny Majors, Tennessee football coach, won’t rule out a return to Pittsburgh to replace the fired Foge Fazio. But he’s not discussing it freely, either.
“Right now, I’m a lot more concerned about the Vanderbilt football game and our team Saturday than I am about my own future this week,” Majors said.
Majors, 50, is in his ninth season at Tennessee. He has compiled a 58-40-5 record, including a 7-1-2 mark this season. Majors took Pittsburgh to a 12-0 season and the national championship in 1976, then resigned to return to his alma mater.
