Titans’ Mark Collins PCAA’s Top Defensive Player

Quarterbacks Doug Gaynor (Cal State Long Beach, 6-2, 213) and Kevin Sweeney (Fresno State, 6-0, 195) were named Offensive Co-Players of the Year, while Cal State Fullerton cornerback Mark Collins (5-10, 195) was named Defensive Player of the Year, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. football coaches announced their all-conference teams Monday.

Jim Sweeney, who led the Bulldogs to the PCAA championship and a berth in the California Bowl, was named Coach of the Year.
