The undefeated Caltech football team will be playing for needy children when it faces the Pasadena Police Officers Assn. in the Tournament for Tots Bowl at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pasadena City College’s Horrell Field.

Admission is a new, unwrapped toy or a monetary donation.

Caltech, which is having its best season ever, has an 8-0 record. The previous best season for the Beavers was 4-0 in 1944. Caltech, coached by Lynn Parker, is led by quarterback Aram Kaloustian of San Bruno and running back Martin Brouillette of Montreal.

“We’re not claiming to be the best around, but we have a pretty good team this year,” Parker said. The Beavers have averaged 32 points a game on offense and allowed an average of 10. However, the coach said five starters will be missing from his lineup Saturday for various reasons.

It will be the first and only game for the police, who have been practicing for four weeks. Parker said the police team is especially strong in its interior line.
