Glendale’s Shooting Drops Pierce, 90-75
Forward John Hoffman scored 27 points Wednesday night leading Glendale College to a 90-75 victory over Pierce in the opening round of the Golden West Tournament.
Hoffman, a 6-6 sophomore, hit 11 of 16 shots and Glendale finished with a 65% accuracy from the field.
Sophomore Darren Hubble and Matt MacFarlane of Glendale also scored 14 points.
Glendale (6-1) plays Riverside, a 83-80 winner over El Camino, Friday at 8 p.m. Pierce plays El Camino on Friday at 2 p.m.
