World chess champion Gary Kasparov said he will not grant a rematch to Anatoly Karpov whom he defeated for the title last month. International Chess Federation President Florencio Campomanes had said after Kasparov won the championship that he should defend the title against Karpov within three months. But Kasparov told a French newspaper that “nothing at all” in the federation’s rules requires him to do so.
